About

The Mad River Path is a work in progress that began in 1987. It is managed and maintained by the Mad River Path Association, a small, member-supported non-profit organization. The goal of connecting people, communities, schools, businesses, special places and the four towns - Warren, Waitsfield, Fayston and Moretown - with a continuous system of recreational trails requires a great deal of support, both financially and physically, to ensure that the Path remains a permanent community asset. We are continually working on securing permanent trail easements, soliciting and administrating grants, sponsoring fundraising events, connecting with local schools and civic groups, and organizing trail work parties.

Join us on the Path! Become a member, volunteer at a work party, donate a trail access easement, and you’ll help us to reach the goal we’ve been working toward!
